Reiki tsm A new dimension of practice

Mark is the mind behind an exploration of the symbol practice of the Usui System of Reiki Healing that he has branded as Reiki tsm. Discovering a way out of what appeared to be a 'dead-end' space in the symbol practice came as a surprise. At the time of writing, Mark has not found any others who have realised this same thread of a 'secret path' embedded in the Usui System.

One creative piece in the process has been making what came in an intuitive form into a sequence that could be delivered to others. There is a conceptual shift of perception as well as the personal integratiion of what the experience brings, that changes the dimensions of the practice as it has been known.

The transmission process follows the best practice of oral tradition. A facilitated human interaction is so far the only know way to create the bridge of perception. It has always been this way in spiritual traditions.
The question has been asked why am I presenting the Reiki practice in ways that diverge from the roots of the common practice of Usui Shiki Ryoho. My answer is that it has only the appearance of difference, and that I am honouring my teachers, respecting what they taught and honouring the path these teachings revealed. Reiki tsm is my best version of a trail for those who would follow this path.
Mark Ruge
Mark took the first degree class in early 1992, and completed the Masters level in mid 1993. Seeking answers to unresolved questions arising from the experience of the practice, led to taking the Masters Intensives offered at that time by Phyllis Furumoto and Paul Mitchell.

These formal teachings in the system of Usui Shiki Ryoho were insightful and pivotal in the knowing of the form of Usui Shiki Ryoho as held by Phyllis Furumoto, as the then Lineage Bearer in the spiritual lineage of Usui, Hayashi and Takata.

Mark was subsequently asked by Phyllis Furumoto to be on the team tasked with writing a licensing programme procedures manual in 1997. The manual was completed and the the programme presented in 1998, but it did not progress beyond the initial planning stages.

Mark was a member of The Reiki Alliance from 1994 to 2019, serving on the board of directors 2000-2003, and as an interim director in 2016 and again in 2019.

2019 was a turning point in the story of Reiki tsm. The intention to present the Reiki tsm process to Phyllis Furumoto for consideration disappeared with her death early that year. Mark then took time out, putting an end to an nine year public Reiki treatment practice to wait for a way ahead to become visible.

Mark lives in the high country on the far North East coast of Australia, close to the city of Cairns. He teaches Reiki classes on request.
